It stands for Multiple document index. It is a type of Interface or form that allows the creation of application software like MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc. It stands for multiple document interface allow to open or design multiple forms for a single project.

MDI used to create various documents with the help of MDI child property.

  • It uses a simple form as a child form
  • MDI cannot place any object on the form.
